Bazaars in Three Locations Allow Jakartans to Buy Cheaper Food Commodities

The West Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Sub-agency holds subsidized-food bazaars in Grogol Petamburan, Tambora, and Taman Sari sub-districts, allowing people to buy basic commodities at cheaper prices.

West Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency Head, Iqbal Idham Ramid said the bazaar has been ongoing from May 22 and will end on May 25, 2023.
Especially in Tambora, residents can get the bazaar locatiob in the yard of Seasons City Mall, Jalan Prof Dr Latumenten, Jembatan Besi Urban Village. In Grogol Petamburan, the bazaar is held next to Grogol Urban Village Office. While in Taman Sari, the bazaar takes place at Kompas Gramedia Building, Jalan Craft No. 3, RT 01/01, Krukut Urban Village.

He explained the bazaar is participated by dozens of Jakpreneurs under West Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency and other regional apparatus organizations (OPD).
"It aims to assist Jakpreneurs in marketing and promoting their products to boost the people's economy. People can also get food at lower prices," he uttered.
To smoothen it, his party had teamed up with PT Indonesian Trading Company (PPI) which would provide onions, chilies, and other commodities, including with PT Dharma Jaya and Bulog which will supply chicken and beef, as well as rice.
People can get food at a lower selling price than the market price. Beef ribs are sold at Rp 110,000 per kilogram, beef liver Rp 35,000 per kilogram, and beef lung Rp 55,000 per kilogram.
"Hopefully, this bazaar can also help residents to get basic needs at low prices," he hoped.
